Development and Market Objectives

Developing an effective lung cancer targeted combination therapy regimen with oncolytic adenovirus-based immunogene therapeutics and immune checkpoint inhibitor to effectively and safely treat lung cancer via synergistic therapeutic effect of therapeutic genes (anti-angiogenesis, inhibition of metastasis, overcoming immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment).

1) Tumor cells possess innate immunoescape and immunosuppressive capability. Lung cancer cells aggressively proliferate and metastasize, contributing to its malignant phenotype

2) Current therapy regimens utilize drugs lacking cancer specificity with low therapeutic efficacy.

Status

- Optimization of promoter: production of lead material construction and production.

- Development of orthotopic lung cancer xenograft tumor model.

- Development of two tumor model or tumor rechallenge animal model using LLC cells.

Intellectual Property

Applied for domestic patent (10-2015-0123644) and PCT (PCT/KR2016/009717) on potential lead candidate materials and original technology (viral vector, promoter, therapeutic genes, etc.)

Competitive Advantages

Most competitor products have been developed to target one aspect of lung cancer. Newly developed lung cancer-targeted immune stimulatory combination therapy regimen can function in all types of lung cancer regardless of their phenotypes by regulating tumor-related survival signaling pathway, metastatic factors, and inducing antitumor immune response, ultimately fulfilling unmet needs of lung cancer patients by developing safe and effective therapy regimen.
